Family House

Sneak Peek

August 18, 2014

Hi friends! I’ve missed you, dearly. And sincerely. Thank you for your sweet emails over the past few weeks checking on me. I have felt your love and concern and know that this little space on the internet means something to us all. And I’m thankful for it. For each of you.

So no, I haven’t decided to run away and never come back. We’ve been completely consumed by our new future β€” a new house! It’s been quite the roller coaster landing a spot to call home. We’ve traveled the whole state trying to figure it all out. Lo and behold it was right in front of our noses the whole time. Isn’t that how it always goes? Ha!

Days have been sun-up to sun-down working on change orders. This house was a spec with everything already selected; but we snagged it up just in time to switch almost all the interior and exterior features. I can’t wait to show you what I have planned!

I hope you’ll enjoy this new adventure along with us β€” this picture is a peek through the front door deadbolt hole, looking into our living room (kitchen is to the right).

Have a wonderful Monday! Big hugs to you all! xo

So happy to see you back! I’ve been following this blog for the last two years and you always manage to make it fun, interesting and most of all real! Thanks for checking in and I understand how the whole new home thing goes. We’ve moved 5 times in the last 5 years and I see another one in the next 6-10 months. Congratulations on landing the chance to design your dream home. I can only imagine how amazing it will be once you are finished with it! Best of luck doll!

We have missed you! I can soooo relate as we are in the process of building a new house. Sold the house where my babies grew up so it has been exciting but emotional. Can’t wait to see your new house! XOXO

Oooh! How exciting for you guys! My fiancΓ© and I are planning to custom build a home here in the not-so distant future so I know how you and your family must be feeling about creating this bespoke home for yourselves. All the best.

You have been missed! I figured you were busy with house stuff.

My husband and I will be moving this weekend from the home we’ve rented for the last nine years. πŸ™ we’re going to rent another home temporarily while we build.

Good luck! I can’t wait to see posts of your new home!!!

Welcome home old friend! Sounds like leaving NC was hard but you do know how wonderful it is to grow up in CO. We moved back about 18 months ago from Washington, D.C. We live NE of Denver, near Brighton. Maybe you will be kinda close? Shot me an email if ya get a chance. Again, welcome back.

    Hi Missy!

Would it be possible to get the link of the site that you ordered your kitchen cabinet hardware from? I tried looking for your cottage kitchen post but haven’t been able to find it. πŸ™ Your home looks AMAZING and I loved, loved, LOVED the pulls you chose for your cabinets. I just moved into a newly built home myself and was wanting to see if they had something similiar in a nickel finish.

    Thanks so much!
