Lemonade Parade

June 1, 2011

It’s officially June 1st & the forecast is calling for a scorching 90 something today! Ew. Tell me when I can come out from hiding. In efforts to stay positive – this lil’ lemonade parade came to chug away my frown! I got slightly carried away playing with variations. So fun though, right?

The last one (herbal ice-tea lemonade) is my copycat version of Starbuck’s Passion Ice-Tea Lemonade. Yes, the same drink that came barreling down the hatch at promptly 11:00 am EVERY day during my 3rd trimester. I mean EVERY BLOOMIN’ day. Not only does Pei Wei know me. Starbucks does too. All I had to do was start singing in the drive-up speaker & they knew to start cranking out a cold one. Besides, who doesn’t like to be sung to? At least we all got a good laugh out of it. Humbly tootin’ my horn, when I say, mine’s just as good.

Happy Kick-Off to Summer, friendlies!!

ooo… yummy. I have a slight… okay, not quite slight… addiction to the Starbucks in general, but also to the passion tea lemonade. I shall have to try these! Great ideas… and those glasses are too stinkin’ cute! Hope you survive the heat! Happy summer!

Can’t wait to hear what you think of them all! Keep tasting as you’re making – some like it sweeter… some like it watered down. It’s all depending on taste… so try as you go! Glasses are from Target. Awe.Some. Right?

ooh they all look so yummy Miss. Your backyard is calling me!! 🙂

Come on over… I’ve got the fridge stocked with whatever flavor you’d like! Seriously.

I can’t wait to try these! My husband loves flavored lemonade and teas so these will be fun to surprise him with!

You and your husby would be lemonade addicts if we lived close. I could drink a glass at least once a day! I’ve got an itch to make up a blueberry version. Don’t ask me why… just kind of a random hunch.

Can’t wait to try this out! They sound delish! Might have to wait to get to the states for some of them though… 🙂 They have weird cucumbers here, and not much of a “celestial seasonings” selection. 🙂 Watermelons however, we have in abundance!

I LOVE the watermelon one. The lightest flavored one out of the bunch… just a hint of melon. It’s super refreshing. Haha! Weird cucumbers? Like with warts or something? Or like on the verge of being a totally different veggie altogether?

Oh my gosh! As soon as the weather warms up here in Canada (eh!) I’ll be making these in batches!

YUM!!! So excited to whip me up some tasty lemonade! Where’d you get those darling straws??

    • missy June 13, 2011 at 2:08 am

The straws are from etsy. Multiple retailers sell them… just search, “paper straws” 🙂

I stumbled upon your recipe for strawberry iced tea lemonade and thought it sounded tasty but it turns out they discontinued that flavor of herbal tea, have you discovered a substitute? I love your blog by the way! 🙂
