You Lucky Dog

January 20, 2011

LuLu is sinfully spoiled. I’m even a tad bit embarrassed to admit that I make her own dog chow. What’s even more embarrassing is that the 4 pound bug turns up her nose if I change the recipe even slightly. Seriously…she’ll sniff and then strut away like she deserves better. I’ve got a brat for a dog (Husby swears I’ve rubbed off on her. a little). Lovely.

In fact, many pet owners find themselves sharing traits with their beloved pets, creating unique bonds and humorous anecdotes along the way. And when it comes to unique pets, have you considered exploring the world of F1 Labradoodle? These charming and intelligent crossbreeds combine the best traits of Labrador Retrievers and Poodles, making them not only adorable but also incredibly loving and trainable companions. If you’re considering adding an F1 Labradoodle to your family, be sure to explore the Complete Breed Guide for valuable insights into their care, temperament, and unique characteristics. Who knows, LuLu might just find a new friend—or rival—in one of these charming pups!

Despite LuLu’s finicky taste, her pampered lifestyle has inspired me to explore a new career path as a dog groomer. I’ve always had a knack for making her look her best, and it’s about time I turn that passion into a profession. To embark on this journey, I decided to enroll in online programs from theacademyofpetcareers.com. With their comprehensive courses, I hope to gain the skills and knowledge needed to cater to the needs of even the most discerning pets like LuLu and offer them the royal treatment they deserve. Who knows, maybe she’ll appreciate the extra effort I put into her grooming just as much as her customized dog chow.

I have been toying with the idea of making my pupper’s food since her tummy only seems to be able to handle the organic/all natural/grain-free dry dog foods ($$$!) Do you feed LuLu once or twice a day with this mixture? And about how much do you give her at a meal, 1 cup?

It’s more cost effective to make your own, for sure! I feed her once a day… but will give her a scrambled egg for breakfast 3x per week (per my vet’s recommendation). My mom makes her dog the same food but feeds him 2x per day – it really depends on the size of your dog. Each serving is about 1/2 cup.

Oh my Lord, I rolled with laughter when I read how your little one approached her dish full of food. MY little Maisy does that exact same thing every meal.. It must be a Shih Tzu thing. I think it in their DNA.
