Your attention please: it’s officially summer sale season! This is both a good and a bad thing. Good, because well, fall fashion is on the near horizon. Bad, because as such, the funds tend to suffer. In anticipation, I’ve been keeping my clothes shopping to a minimum to help save up for what I like to call, Christmas in July! Ha! So you can imagine how intrigued I was to learn of a way to shop and save at the same time through a site called, thredUP — women’s and kids’ high-quality secondhand (like-new) fashion (like a well curated online consignment store) – with a range of brands from Madewell to Zara to Tory Burch, always up to 90% off the original retail price. An anthro dress for $18.99? A free people blouse for $25? Clothes for all of my kids at unbeatable prices? This adorable designer backpack I saw at Nordstrom Rack (I kid you not), but for a fraction of the price? Yes, please! I’m not typically one to rummage through racks unless I’m bound to find buried treasure; but with thredUP I can score a deal by easily searching specific brands and toggling by size and color. If you’re like me, you might be wondering where all the merchandise comes from (hmmm?)… Users can order a thredUP Clean Out Bag, fill it with the items you (or your kids) no longer want (consult the website to see what they do and do not take, and what the payout is), and place on your front door for pick-up. I can see a new routine taking affect come closet clean-out time! And with all the money I saved on my backpack; I’m hoping it’ll justify stuffing it with a few new goodies in the very near future. Wink wink.sbs1brandsthredup (blog) (3 of 7)

What a cool concept! It’s like thrifting but better bc they’ve already done the hard part of finding good items!
