Hey cutie! You crack me up. But I always appreciate the great tips. I want to hear more about this dry shampoo process. My hair gets too dried out if I wash it everyday, so what do you do?

    • missy says:

Ah, yes. The blessed dry shampoo. Quite possibly my favorite beauty item EVER! Like, that’d be on my top 10 list of things to bring if I was stranded on a deserted Island. How ’bout this? I’ll just to a whole post in honor of your haute self. The hair regimen is a whole shabangalang bit that needs explaining. I wash my hair every 4-5 days! Don’t stop reading bc you think I’m some hobo. But it’s bc my hair is healthier for it. And it doesn’t get dirty until the 4-5 day! Yep! It’s true. Hair can be trained. You’ve poked the sleeping bear. I’ll explain in an upcoming post… ;)

I am inspired once again. I know there are other hair tutorials out there but I really like yours…:). I will try it out this weekend for my hot date with hubby… while he will not notice, I am sure, it will still be worth it!

    • missy says:

Jill, you’ll be so smokin he’ll be sayin’, “uh, mrs? those curls are makin’ me crrrazy!” Let me know how it turns out for ya! Thx for the praises! Tee hee! {heart giggles}!!

  • Breanne says:

so cute! i do the loose curls as well but i’m gonna try your technique next time! i sooooo badly need to train my hair again. I’m washing like every other day… blahhh!

    • missy says:

Do it while simultaneously cooking dinner, changing stink pants, and while running on the treadmill. C’mon now. You’ve got this! haha! I do it during nap time or even before bed sometimes.

Like many others, I have been coveting that pretty hairdo of yours. I can’t wait to try it out!!! I’m curious to see if it will work with my hair. It’s bit stubborn and very thick. Wish me luck!! (By the way, I voted for you and will continue to vote daily until the deadline! I LOVE pink pistachio and think you and your cuteness deserve to win! I wish I had more than 1 functional computer so I can vote for you 1000+ times. Maybe I’ll have to sneak into a library somewhere… ;) )

    • missy says:

I’m glad “my cuteness” is worthy to win in your eyes! Haha! You’re hilarious! And hi. You’re too sweet for voting! Eat a cupcake… You are what you eat – so eat a sweet. Thanks, Jamie!

  • Kimberly says:

What brand of curling iron do you use. I am use to the velcro rollers and don’t use curling irons. However, I love the loose curls and am ready to give it a try. Can you get me started the the right direction??? Thanks!

    • missy says:

Miss Kimberly! I use a Hot Tools 1 inch barrel. I got it at Sally Beauty Supply. Best of luck! I’d love to know your tricks with velcro! I’ve about given up on mine! :)

EEEK! Changed your life forever?!!? You’re kinda making my head swell which is now oozing with flattery! You’re too kind! So stoked it turned out for you! This is the only technique that I’ve found that’s the easiest to do with yielding longer results! Yay!!! Send me a pic of your lovely locks! melissa[at]pinkpistachio[dot]com

I found your blog last night and watched this tutorial – tried it this morning and have gotten 3 compliments and it’s only 9:30am! I used a 1 1/2″ curling iron but definitely think the 1″ will make it look even better (and will be easier to work with). I’ll keep working on my technique but thank you so much for posting this. I have always wondered how people get their hair to look like that!

    • missy says:

Oh happy day! This makes my heart smile! I’d love to see a pic of your luscious locks! If you would do me a teensie favor? The friendlies who complimented you… would you send them my way? Thx, lovely!

Hey I just came across this and really want to try it out.But my hair is naturally wavy and frizzy,Do i straighten it then curl it or just leave it natural and curl it?

    • missy says:

I’d recommend straightening first. Maybe even wear it straight the first day and curl the second day so you can enjoy both styles and so you’re not exhausted! I have naturally wavy hair and like how the curls look better when my hair is straight first. Hope you love the results! xo

  • Jordan says:

trying this tonight so i hope it works out and stays for my day tomorrow, my hair tends to get flat easily but i feel like i can make it work! thanks for all of your great tips!
