Thanks For No-thing

On this Thanksgiving Day my thoughts are focused on what I’m thankful for most – my three favorite boys I call my family. It’s much too easy to think of all the “things” in our lives that we wish we had, think we somehow need, or even foolishly think define part of our worth. On the contrary, it’s the “nothings” in our lives that truly matter most – the things that can’t be bought, that don’t collect dust, or whose value doesn’t fade over time.

To Husby, thank you for believing I can do anything in life. For helping me see the rainbow after life’s little rainstorms. For thinking I’m the cutest when I’m mad. For being a Daddy that lives a life worthy of the name, hero.

To Gage, I’m thankful for each day that begins and ends with your twinkly smile. For the way you think of others happiness over your own. For the little perk in your step. For the way you twiddle my hair and make sure I’m never too far.

To Baby Beckam, thank you for the sweet peace you bring. For being my little owlet with your adorable round eyes and constant coos. For being excited to grow and learn. For letting me snuggle and smother you to pieces.

To my boys, I truly give thanks. And more importantly, thanks to a lovely Father in Heaven who saw fit to put you in my life.

You make me the happiest girl in the world and thankful for nothing but you!

Amen, for sure! Thanks for all the fun you bring through your posts. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your truly beautiful family. I am grateful for my grandparents, my parents, my amazing sister and her family, my best friend, my incredible husband- who works so hard so I can be a stay at home mama- and for my five children. They are each uniquely and wonderfully made, and they are the lights of my life!!
    Again, Happy Thanksgiving:)

I bought it at my old hair salon from a vendor. The vendor is no longer selling the rings but I have an email into him to see if I can buy directly from him. I’ll let everyone know on the blog if I find out more info…

Well said! Our family had a very difficult year and after having many financial setbacks over the past eight months, we needed to realize that what we are most grateful for are each other, and God who saw us through it all. We made a thankful tree poster that we will keep always to remind us that no matter the difficulties we have, we ALWAYS have something to be thankful for.
