Sunday Night S’mores

August 2, 2011

Hubs & I aren’t huge S’mores fans. Although, ironically enough I’m “genetically coded” to have a s’more obsession (yes, my mother makes them year round over her kitchen burner! ha!).

Some say summer isn’t the same without them. Voila! Introducing the s’more kabob… with the addition of bananas. C’mon now, who doesn’t love bananas & chocolate? (You in the back! Put your hand down. You’re ruining my point.)

It’s a gazillion degrees right now in the South a’hem Amazon, so the backyard grill was our best bet for a quick Sunday night treat!

Angelnugget kinda had a conniption over the whole experience! Loved.every.bite. Evidence? Each one of those cheeks is filled with marshmallows.

Can you say, Chubby Bunny?

Maybe you’re my long lost sister? The daughter my mother always dreamed of?

Hubby said teasingly this morning, “No pink pistachio today.” Like I’m some kind of addict or something? But he repented when he saw chocolate was involved in the post. 🙂 Looks absolutely sinful! Move over Hershey bars, we’ve got home made ganache!

Super fun date night… hunt for twigs together in the forest… swack each other on the bum with the newly found twigs, kiss, and then roast to your hearts content! Fun fun!

Looks good to me, especially with the addition of the banana!

I ended up peeling a whole banana, forgetting the whole roasting bit, and dove straight into the whole melted chocolate part! Mmm.
