Summer Tossed Your Salad

July 7, 2011

Where I live the intense heat can make hot food sound horrid. That means summer salads come calling to the rescue. Panera inspired this one… Yes, another “knock-off” with a few additions – granny smith apples for tart and a savory spin on traditional Poppyseed dressing.

Even though it’s super fruity, Husby’s not ashamed to eat it in a tight white muscle tee (chest pump)… Umph! Um hi. Sorry for the disturbing mental picture of Husby turned 50’s Grease Lightening. The point is… he kinda loves this salad.

Love salads for dinner – now to convince my hubby that they count as “food”. 🙂

Let him have it for lunch one day and then slowly ease into having it for dinner. Husby felt the same way until he saw the light. haha

yum! I love salads for dinner when it is hot and cooking doesn’t sound that great. I just had a very similar salad at Panera yesterday! Will have to try and make this one for the husband and I 🙂

Yep… that’s the one I “knocked off”… I think you’ll like it just as well.

Dear friend, what kind of camera do you have?! Haha, not only does the salad itself look swoon-worthy, but the image and color are just lovely too! I’ve got to try that salad… and a trip to Panera seems long overdue as well. Hope you’re doing great!

He’s my second bf, a Nikon D5000. And we love each other’s heart pieces.
