Summer Peach Pie

August 29, 2011

We’ve been enjoying peaches since July. But there’s something about August’s crop that has them even juicer & sweeter! Perfect picking for a cold peach pie! This is my Grandmother’s secret recipe (uh I guess not anymore – thanks grandma for sharing your love world wide). Simply put, she’s known around town by her cold fruit pies. The following recipe can be altered by changing the fruit with corresponding jello flavor (ie fresh rapsberries w/raspberry jello etc). Enjoy one last taste of summer before it’s gone!

Yay! Thanx for sharing, I really want to try this, bonus a friend was just telling me about a recipe almost exactly like this but she couldn’t remember all the details except that it was delicious, so thank you!

I have been looking for this recipe for years. I did live in Long Beach, CA where we could get these kinds of pies in the summer. In 199 my husband moved us to the Ozarks in Arkansas & they have never heard of them. They’re gonna hear about ’em now at church potlucks. Thank you so much for this recipe.
