SNOW!

February 20, 2013

It actually SNOWED!

We didn’t turn our pajamas inside out or even have to wish for it!

I was in the middle of making smoothies and popcorn while looking out the window at the falling rain. Blinked. And then right before my eyes, the rain turned to fluffy white snowflakes!

Around here, snow plays hard to get.

But goodness-golly, when she decides to show her pretty face… it sure makes everyone happy!

We could hear kids giggling for miles!

  • Lindsay February 20, 2013 at 5:40 pm

Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing them with us 🙂 We get so much snow in the winter that sometimes it’s hard to remember that it’s more than just something you have to shovel hehe

  • Brianne Tallant February 20, 2013 at 5:50 pm

These picture are great! Love your outift too! What kind of boots are those? Love snow days!

    • Brittany February 20, 2013 at 9:00 pm

They look like Sorel Joan of Arctic boots. Might be last years as I can’t find that specific color. Hopefully Missy will let us all know soon 🙂

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:30 am

Believe it or not, an Old Navy snag last year!

  • Vanessa February 20, 2013 at 5:51 pm

Yay for fun snow days! Your neighborhood is so beautiful; where do y’all live?

  • Anna @ Your Healthy Place February 20, 2013 at 6:08 pm

Haha it snowed here too this morning actually – though in Calgary that’s not too unusual! Thanks for the post though, when I realize that people don’t see it all that often and enjoy when it falls, it makes me appreciate it a bit more!

  • Amie February 20, 2013 at 6:10 pm

Such a sweet family! Glad you got some flurries!

  • Larissa February 20, 2013 at 9:14 pm

Just gorgeous! The looks on the kids faces are adorable, how cute are they all snuggled up?!. We are suffering through a heatwave here in Melbourne. Maybe if I stare at the pictures long enough I can convince myself it’s cold and snowy lol

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:32 am

Sending you thoughts of cold lemonade and pretty polished piggies!

  • jennifer February 20, 2013 at 10:25 pm

  • lauren February 20, 2013 at 11:52 pm

I was just visiting where they had a winter weather advisory and got a few inches of snow! When y’all get snow its a big deal! hehe;)

  • Sara February 21, 2013 at 2:48 am

Hey Missy! what do you use for blush and concealer?

    thanks so much

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:33 am

I use a BB cream underneath bare minerals powdered foundation. For blush, I switch between “warmth” by bare minerals, benetint (stain), and smudging lipstick 😉

  • Sara February 21, 2013 at 4:59 am

So completely jealous! No snow here in Southern California unless we pack up for a trip to our local mountains. We’ve snuck away two times this winter! There is just nothing better than seeing your kids playing in the snow! Beautiful photos of your darling family!

  • Serena // Pretty Fluffy February 21, 2013 at 6:15 am

I have just one word Missy: Jealous! 🙂

  • Megan February 21, 2013 at 10:47 am

Hi Missy, Where did you get your winter coat?

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:34 am

It’s old by True Religion (bought at Nordstrom Rack)

  • Jill February 21, 2013 at 1:25 pm

Cute pics! I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life, so we rarely “celebrate” the snow like this…. but what a nice reminder to see it through your eyes! It really is pretty! (I’d still like to live somewhere warm from January – March!) I’d also love to know where that jacket is from. 🙂 Thanks!

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:36 am

Jacket is by True Religion… old. Yes, PLEASE celebrate the snow! Wish I could “bump my bum” on a rock everyday (in case you saw the FB video I posted). HA!!

  • Tencia February 21, 2013 at 6:30 pm

I have to know where you got your boots!

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:36 am

  • Meagan Begg February 22, 2013 at 2:14 am

    • missy February 22, 2013 at 11:37 am

Meagan, you’re TOO sweet! Thank you so much. I’m self-taught and amateur at that… but would love to help if I can. Please send me an email with specific questions you might have and I’ll try to answer them the best I can. xo

    So beautiful!

  • Laura Smith March 22, 2013 at 12:02 am

Hi your photographs of your family are beautiful, can I ask what type of camera you use to get such clear crisp shots please?

    • missy March 22, 2013 at 3:59 am

I use a nikond5000. thank you so much, laura!
