Personalized Pumpkins

October 23, 2012

Playing in pumpkin slime is not on my favorite things list. Playing in paint? Definitely IS one of Bubba’s. Having leftover chalkboard paint (from THIS project) and mini pumpkins on our kitchen table, made this a simple craft.

As an added bonus, we’ve been able to play with them over and over. Doodle new designs, write reminders, you name it. Yes, even if it means leaving Husby a little pumpkin with subliminal morning messages. The empty dishwasher is much appreciated, Babe.

Might have to keep these lil’ punkins around past Halloween. Tee hee!

I love how many things you can do with chalkboard paint! I’m about to go buy myself a can! Love the pumpkin idea!

That’s a clever idea! It’s twice the amount of craft time for the kids.
My son is 3 years old and he would adore this. We would wind up having a bunch of little black pumpkins floating around…he only wanted pumpkins that he could fit into his pockets 🙂

So precious! I think the little polka dot one is too cute & you can always find fun uses for chalkboard paint!

I love this 🙂 I got two fake pumpkins at target in their dollar section and spray painted mine gold. Your idea is great, too! Oh, and a few years ago, I actually took your same concept and used chalk board paint on some large terra cotta pots. I put them on the front porch and wrote welcome on them. 😉
