Love the awesome pictures, and all the cheap date ideas are great too! Taking time to be together as a couple is SO important, especially when you have kidlets.
So important yet so hard to do sometimes! I bet Victor could whip up a pretty sick for you two lovie-dovies. xo
Isn’t love lovely?? LOVE this post!
You’re such a doll! And a HUGE thank you for posting our button on your site! I feel super special! xo
Love this cause I love our date nights but hate having to get a sitter all the time thanks I can’t wait try some of these
Story of my life. We always want to do something simple and sweet to catch up & get away but can’t always snag down a sitter and/or want to just kick it at home. The star gazing is a great one to do in your own backyard! xo
This is so cute! I love the pictures.
Awww, thanks Amy!
These are such cute pictures! Wonderful ideas. They make me want to build a blanket fortress and spend the night with my bf telling spooky stories lol
Do it! I’d love to see your fortress!
P.S. I made some jersey knit wrap bracelets last night. I felt so crafty (which I so am not!). Thanks for the tutorial!!!
You have an awesome hubby! Such a lucky girl! My husband would never do all the little things u do… Much less take pictures! Love to u both xo
Aww, Lynn I bet he would! Once he tries it he’ll start to realize how much fun this kind of stuff can be! Love you too!
So cute As per usual! Wow, it’s been awhile since I’ve had time to read my favorite blogs and comment. Hope you’re doing well! Have a good weekend with your hubby and bubba.
You’re so sweet. Thanks, Kerri! Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend as well.
Thank you for the inspiration! Question how did you get your fort to stay up?
Ah hah! There in lies the REAL question! haha! We had several mishaps until we got it just right. But that was half the fun… figuring out how we could work together without arguing & throwing tantrums! ha! We ended up tying it from different places in our bedroom.
How stinkin’ fun! I have always wanted to build a fort!
Do it! Making the fort is almost as fun as hanging out in it!
This is SOOO romantic!! Love the photo shoot!! Yall are precious!
I love love love the love letter from a book idea! How creative and fun!! <3 Going to try this!
LMK how it turns out for you! I’m cracking up from a line in the book my husband used! Seriously so fun! xo
Hi. I stumbled across this blog and fell in love with all the tips for toddlers, recipes, and date nights.
I have a question, how did you manage to have the fort stay up? Is it fishing line? What did you use for the ceiling?
This is the cutest thing I have ever seen! Not only is your fort awesome but I love the name of your dates “penny jar dates”. I just can’t say it enough..I love this.
LOVE LOVE LOVE. LOVE
these are AWESOME ideas!! need to implement them into my date nights with my husband so we concentrate more on what we do rather than how much we spent.
I have been married nearly 29 years. This is the way to keep things going! LOVE IT!!! Now where are those christmas lights…..
I love the book thing, but the book nerd in me screams at the thought of defacing a book lol Maybe I can use pencil and lightly cross stuff out??
I feel the same way! I was thinking I’d have to photocopy pages before I could start the crossing out. =)
These are so cute and creative!!! Seriously, all of them are worth doing XOXO
