Fun

Oui Oui French Bakery

June 24, 2011

There was this one time, we decided to do something fun and spontaneous. So we got in the car, tossed a gazillion toys in the back for Little Mister, jammed the nursery tunes up, and headed out. Don’t start judging like this isn’t your idea of a fun family experience. Just wait. It gets better…

…Right about the time when we parked the car at THIS little (insert singing) A.MAZE.ING French bakery! I’m guessing it might be the next best thing to Paris, you guys. But then again, who am I to compare when I’ve never visited (hint hint, husby!?!? we could get that alone time we’ve been wanting? Eh?… wink wink…nudge nudge)

Opening the doors to this place was like stepping into Pastry Paradise. If only I could’ve tasted one of each. (yeah, I know that’s slightly gluttonous). My urges somehow transported into Bubba’s psyche… he literally dug into the meringue on my lemon raspberry tart.

Moral of the story? Do little fun spontaneous things with your family. It’s like a mini 2 hour vacation.

Does one say, “Au Revoir” or “Adieu” at the close of conversation?

Time to make a trip to Barnes & Nobel for that English to French dictionary that’ll be oh-so-handy in the near distant future! Tee hee.

The university I attend is 5 minutes away from there. Its open 24 hours which is great for studying late at night. The baguettes are the best and only $1.75 for a half of one with fresh jam and butter
