Nursery

May 14, 2012

All weekend long I tried not to think about whether or not bumpcake was going to make his big debut.

Rather, I focused on cherishing the last little moments spent together as a family of 3: extra long bath times for Bubba, napping in the same bed, playing our favorite games, and laughing a lot!

It was a wonderful weekend.

Last night was the best sleep I’ve had in weeks. I think it’s because everything is in order. Bubba is in good hands, baby’s nursery is organized and ready, freezer meals are made, toes are painted, birthday invites are mailed, and lists (for the most part) have been all crossed off!

Looks like tomorrow is the BIG day… 5/15/12, my friends! No longer will I be a Mama of one (and a half – can’t forget LuLu-bug) but a Mama of 2 boys! Whoa! So excited and if I’m being honest, also kind of scared silly.

Now, as Husby and Bubs would say, “Let’s DO this!”

Good luck today! Our thoughts and prayers will be with you for a safe, speedy delivery of your bundle of joy. I haven’t forgotten about that baby quilt.

Meanwhile, your nursery looks fabulous. I have a Pottery Barn Kids bookshelf that would match your crib furniture perfectly. It’s one of those that is pretty flat to the wall so the picture books’ covers are facing out, easy for little ones to choose their favorites. If you’re interested I can send you a picture. I’ve been waiting to give it to someone who deserves it. 🙂
