Love the video!! 🙂 Do you ever use an eye cream? If so, which one? Xoxo

    • missy January 29, 2015 at 12:20 am

I’ve tried both eysilix and dermalogica and liked both! 🙂

  • Lynn Hovis January 28, 2015 at 9:39 pm

Nice to see your beautiful face again

    • missy January 29, 2015 at 12:21 am

      Miss you, friend!

  • Lynn Hovis January 28, 2015 at 9:42 pm

Ps- what lip color do you have on in the beginning of the video? Miss ya 🙂

    • missy January 28, 2015 at 10:48 pm

It’s ‘dangerous’ by MAC (matte finish)

  • Laura @ A Healthy Jalapeno January 28, 2015 at 9:44 pm

Love it, thanks for the tips. Excited to try the apple cider vinegar. Do you have any regiment for post preggo belly to help with the stretch marks?

    • missy January 28, 2015 at 10:51 pm

Oh sweet Laura, I wish I did! The battle wounds of motherhood, I tell ya!

  • BrookeH January 28, 2015 at 10:36 pm

May I ask what nail color you are wearing? I love it

    • missy January 28, 2015 at 10:50 pm

It’s the baby pink from Madam Glam – a line of gel polish from the UK. But if you’re looking for the perfect baby pink (non-gel), my favorite is ‘Fiji’ by Essie.

  • Betheny Lymburner January 28, 2015 at 11:59 pm

I use grape seed oil on all my clients for eye makeup remover. I’ve never had anyone react to it. It will also condition your eye lashes. Love the stuff, can’t live without it!! Also, if you wash your face twice, you’ll get 90% if not more of your make up off!! Glad to see you’re back!

  • cindy michelotti January 29, 2015 at 12:26 am

I’ve followed your blog for a couple of years and love it! congrats on your pregnancy!
Do you dilute the apple cider vinegar when used on the face?

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:35 pm

I’d recommend diluting for the first week. Depending on how your skin does with it, then you can move up to full strength. I used full-strength (and don’t rinse off) every night.

  • Cathy G January 29, 2015 at 1:13 am

Love your beauty tips and seeing your sweet face!!! I need to get rid of some age spots!! I hope this helps me !!!! Hope you’re doing well!!! 🙂

  • Brooke January 29, 2015 at 2:39 am

Yay your tutorials are the best! Updated daytime makeup routine soon maybe?? Fingers crossed!

    • Brooke January 29, 2015 at 2:41 am

Ekk lost half of that post but do you still do a face mask once a week? Have any good ones? Ever since I started skipping cleansing my face in the am after I saw your older tutorial I swear my skin has changed for the better!!

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Yes, I still do a masque every Saturday or Sunday night. Kiehl’s clay mask is my favorite. I’d be happy to do an updated everyday makeup routine! 🙂

  • Brandi Hughes January 29, 2015 at 3:31 am

The black towel idea is brilliant! Will be picking some up for makeup removal.

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Something so simple but makes the biggest difference! That or maybe I just LOATHE doing laundry! ha!

  • Melissa January 29, 2015 at 3:37 am

Loved how your eyes looked in the beginning of the video. Can you talk about the shadow/liner you used?

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:38 pm

Shadow is the aqua shadow from Make Up For Ever (copper) and liner is liquid waterproof liner from Stila.

  • Dani January 29, 2015 at 12:53 pm

You are adorable! Great tips and Ioved your before makeup! Xo

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:38 pm

      Mwah! xo

  • Michelle January 29, 2015 at 2:15 pm

Just ordered that face wash! I am definitely getting pregnancy breakouts and I can’t wait to try this routine! Thank you! Xo

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:39 pm

You’ll enjoy it! Not too harsh, but gets the job done! Niora is also another good brand to try!

  • Jennifer G. January 29, 2015 at 2:21 pm

I have acne prone skin and use Retin A at night and proactiv in the AM. I think I am going to switch up my routine to add ACV 🙂 thanks for the tips!

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:39 pm

Yes, I think you’ll find the ACV might even eliminate the need for proactiv!

  • Alicia January 29, 2015 at 3:08 pm

I love your videos! I just wanted to share that I use a Norwex microfiber body cloth and it takes off ALL of my makeup and washes my face at the same time using JUST warm water. Exfoliates and cleans at same time!

    • Lynda January 29, 2015 at 7:09 pm

I also use a Norwex cloth for all makeup removing. Just add warm water and voila, so clean! It also clears up breakouts.

      Nice video though. Good tips!

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:39 pm

Sounds awesome! Especially for the nights when you’re just too tired to do anything!

  • Colleen January 29, 2015 at 3:28 pm

Hi Missy! Love the video. I have recently switched up my skin care also! I have been using coconut oil and JUST coconut oil!!! It is soooo amazing. I have heard of toning with ASV before but I am too scared to combine both :/
Coconut oil has AMAZING health benefits too, and not to mention I haven’t had a single breakout! You should def try living in colder climate. thx

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:40 pm

Yes, I’ve used coconut oil for years too! Isn’t it the best?! Love using it on my babies too!

  • Diana January 29, 2015 at 6:12 pm

You are adorable! Thanks for this post and your website in general. I’ve been reading your blog for a few years and just wanted to send a complimentary note of encouragement, as your posts are always a bright spot in my day.

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:40 pm

Diana, you MADE. MY. DAY! Thank you! xo

  • Sarah January 29, 2015 at 8:02 pm

Love it! Definitely going to give this a try. 🙂 Would you recommend the face wash for nursing mamas, too? Also, would you mind commenting briefly on what your morning face routine looks like? Thank you!!!

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:43 pm

Yes or Niora (sold online) or Eminence Organics all are very clean and effective! I love them all!

In the morning, I splash my face with water and apply a moisturizer with SPF. Sometimes I even skip that and don’t do a thing – go straight to my CC cream (that contains SPF) and hit the road! I do like my “flawless face” routine for makeup as well. But basically, I do nothing in the morning. You’ll notice a HUGE difference by doing less. It’s the same concept with keeping hair clean longer (stretching out how often you wash). Your hair learns to not produce as much oil. Same goes for the face!

  • Miranda January 29, 2015 at 8:28 pm

I tried the Aquaphor last night after seeing this post. It worked ok, I have to agree with Colleen though, I’ve used coconut oil too and it is amazing at getting eye makeup off. It’s also a little less sticky than the Aquaphor. I’ll have to give the apple cider vinegar a try. Love following your blog, and can’t wait to see more of your beautiful new home & expanding family 🙂

  • Elizabeth January 30, 2015 at 2:22 pm

Bless you for being so honest and transparent with such a wonderful and helpful tutorial and that adorable RED face! ; )

I’m sure all your fans (friendlies) like me all appreciate it!

    • missy January 30, 2015 at 5:44 pm

Ha! Yes, red-splotchy face at all — I love you guys and just want to share the things that make my life better! Thank you for your sweet comment, friend! xo

  • Kim January 30, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Are you using the whole Madam Glam line or just the polish with the old Gelish tutorial? thanks

    • missy February 1, 2015 at 6:27 pm

I have the base/top/polish of Madam Glam; as well as the gelish line. I’m assuming any base/top gel would work with Madam Glam! Yes, using the same tutorial/process…

  • Emily January 31, 2015 at 12:26 am

    Ok, you are super darling.
I’ve popped over to your blog frequently for the past few years and enjoy your content and your sweet nature. I really responded to your authenticity in this video though.
Yes, you have lots of beautifully shot, perfect looking posts. But THIS! A real girl, red face and all! Fantastic. Great tips too!
    xo
PS – As a fellow Colorado girl, the dryness IS NO JOKE, right? Ack.

    • missy February 1, 2015 at 6:27 pm

Means so much, thank you Emily!

  • Tonya January 31, 2015 at 7:31 am

I absolutely adore you and your blog! You are always so upbeat and encouraging! I’m wondering wear you got your jars (in the bathroom) and what is in the big one?
Again thank you for sharing your tutorials and life with us!

    • missy February 1, 2015 at 6:28 pm

They’re from Walmart – the same ones are sole at Crate & Barrel for twice as much! Small one for cotton pads and large for epsom salts!

  • Janelle W January 31, 2015 at 8:47 pm

I totally just bought everything from your last skin care post! Ha ha, hoping I am still good with using all those products as I’m pregnant too! So glad you updated though.

    • missy February 1, 2015 at 6:29 pm

Yes, Eminence Organics AND Niora are both clean products for both you and baby! I like them just as much as Belli – just happened to try this one, so I thought I’d mention it! xo

  • Janelle W January 31, 2015 at 9:15 pm

I’m wondering where you are buying clothes for your new little girl. I’m sure they are going to be so cute and I would love some direction as I’m having a little girl also. Any tips would be much appreciated.

  • missy February 1, 2015 at 6:30 pm

I’m shopping sales like mad! Ha! Baby Gap, Zara, HM, Little Hip Squeaks, Crewcuts are probably my top places. 🙂

  • Lauren February 2, 2015 at 2:10 am

I LOVE your tutorials and can I just say how much I admire your candor?! Thank you for this- starting the routine tonight.

  • Brittany February 2, 2015 at 3:45 pm

I’ve been trying ACV since you posted this and I can already see a difference in my skin! Thank you so so much for posting this incredible tutorial!! Muah!

  • Crissy February 4, 2015 at 1:39 am

    Missy,
I found the apple vinegar today but it’s a different brand. Says that it’s 5% acidity though. Are you brand loyal for this one or do you think most will work??
    Thx!!

    • missy February 4, 2015 at 2:52 pm

As long as it’s ‘raw’ and has ‘the mother’ you’ll be fine! there are lots of brands that are both!

  • Betsy February 4, 2015 at 2:02 pm

Thanks Missy! Love your tips and my hubby swears by acv for so many things…he will be excited to see me trying it! And the black towel idea!! Love it!

  • Lauren February 4, 2015 at 5:33 pm

Not sure if this is happening to anyone else as I’ve always had very oily, acne-prone skin, but I have been using ACV since your post and i’ve noticed on my chin where i’m especially prone to breakouts I now have all these little visible clogged pores (iiiiiiiicky!) I’m wondering (hoping) this means the ACV is working by sloughing off the top layers of skin to reveal what would have been future pimples and that they’ll go away soon? Either that or something else i’m using is clogging my pores up in that area- right now it’s a little gross.

    • Sam February 5, 2015 at 11:14 am

Yes, I started using avc last week and my skin has been breaking out. I think my skin is just too sensitive. I’m bummed, I really wanted this to work. 🙁

      • missy February 5, 2015 at 5:04 pm

Make sure you stick with it for at least a week (diluted 50/50)… your skin is likely detoxing and it takes awhile to get it all out!

    • missy February 5, 2015 at 5:08 pm

Yes, keep with it, Lauren! Your skin is likely detoxing. You can also drink it (I know, seems crazy) but it’ll further help speed up the detox. Drink equal parts ACV mixed with pineapple juice + dash of honey each morning first thing when you wake up. Doesn’t need to be a big glass just 1/4cup total, even. Hope this helps!

  • Stephanie February 10, 2015 at 2:44 am

I took your advice and started using the apple cider vinegar as part of my nighttime routine–it’s been a GAME CHANGER!! My skin (which is *not* tough girl skin) looks so much brighter and clearer. 🙂 thank you so much for the tip! Between this and your makeup tutorials, I’ve never felt prettier 🙂

    -Steph

  • Jessi Benshoof February 10, 2015 at 3:49 am

No joke, I went out and bought the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar, and 3 dates later…my face is glowing!!! I have been struggling with stubborn pregnancy acne, but no more; it’s diminishing as we speak! You are a lifesaver!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  • Lindsey February 11, 2015 at 5:21 pm

Thanks for sharing! I have started using the ACV and so far I love it. Do you ever put Aquaphor on your lips before bed? I do every night and wake up with the softest lips!

    • missy February 11, 2015 at 6:09 pm

yes, i do! use it for prior to applying lipgloss/lipstick too! try it!

  • Anna Bumford February 25, 2015 at 6:52 am

I absolutely love the feel of my skin after using the apple cider vinegar! I am so happy that you posted this tutorial and that I gave this easy everyday product a try! My skin has never felt cleaner! Thank you!

  • Melissa March 3, 2015 at 1:43 pm

love the ACV trick! I use it for dry scalp but haven’t tried it as a toner! Totally trying that tonight!

Also, I wanted to mention that beware of “natural” products. Cetaphil and Belli are both loaded with chemicles. I do love Cetaphil cleanser but it does contain parabens :(. If that is something that is important to you (i wasn’t sure) I wanted to let you know! I use Pine Tar soap for skin and I totally love it. It’s great for sensitive problem skin. You can always check EWG.org if your curious about products. xo

  • Melissa March 14, 2015 at 8:05 pm

Thanks for such a great video! You’re adorable and I love your blog. Do you have any follow up on using the clairisonic? Like which one you use and how often, and if you like it with any specific products?

  • Katie March 18, 2015 at 8:20 pm

AMAZING!! ACV has totally changed my skin. I’ve always had issues with acne flare ups and have used tons of different skin care lines but this has by far been the best thing for me. I’ve only been using it for about 5 days and I already see a huge difference. I’m going to try drinking it with pineapple juice too.

Thanks sooooo much for posting this!!! 🙂

    • Kara September 11, 2015 at 1:43 pm

Have you tried drinking it? Has it helped with anything?

  • Brandi May 4, 2015 at 12:03 pm

I need help all around!!! Haha! I am trying to not wash my hair everyday bc it is drying out and falling out! I need recommendations on what to do with my hair on the days I don’t wash it. I have fine but thick wavy hair. I just watched your tutorial for night and I’m going to try the ACV to see if it helps with my acne. I’ve been using rodan + fields but your routine seems great! Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • Katy_noel August 27, 2015 at 2:23 pm

Ah! I just stumbled upon your blog! I’m pregnant and have been searching for a simple skin care routine but that also does everything I need. I think I may be using too many chemicals at the moment even though they’re not the restricted chemicals for pregnancy I would feel better knowing I’m using more natural things. So this whole night routine is just awesome. Love your blog by the way! You’re family is the cutest!

  • Kara September 11, 2015 at 1:42 pm

How long until you notice a difference in your skin? my daughter has acne and we have tried EVERYTHING!!

  • Alexandra September 18, 2015 at 5:15 pm

I know you had mentioned you bought the glass jars at walmart. What section did you buy them in? I can’t seem to find them. Thanks

    • missy March 1, 2016 at 9:00 pm

They’re in the kitchen department 🙂
