Mykonos

September 28, 2011

To only spend half a day in bright white paradise is a shame. This little Greek island is picturesque with its windmills, little Venice town, and vibrantly painted (in shades of green, blue, yellow, and red) doors that dance with the pebble painted streets.

Time is slower here.

Sea breeze blows from the bay through the winding alleys of town. Heavenly.

Pelicans and kitties people-watch while soaking up sun.

Once again… Greek food!? Forget Zeus! Who’s the Greek god for food? She’s the only one I believe in.

The proof? Pitas, hummus, crazy good herb dip, and deliciously creamy yogurt drizzled with thick honey. My word!

A girl could get used to Mykonos, Island living.

Oh my goodness… one of my dreams is to go to Greece. This is absolutely beautiful! And that shop you’re looking at there looks super fun! 🙂 BTW, continuing to pray for your friend’s son. 🙁

Your pictures are beautiful…..Where did you get your sunglasses?! What brand?! I just love them!!!! Leaving for FL on Mon to get married…they would be PERFECT for the beach 🙂

Congrats on getting hitched, friend! Yay!! The sunglasses are not even branded… snatched them up in my cousin’s hair salon in Utah when I was visiting a few years back. I have seen similar ones by Lauren Conrad & Jessica Simpson. I’ll see what I can dig up for you! 🙂

That yogurt with honey? I was definitely having a love affair with it. I’ve never tasted anything like it!

Stunning pictures. This place looks so crisp and lovely… can’t wait to go there someday!

That’s a perfect way to describe it – crisp & clean. The streets are washed every morning and it shows. I couldn’t get over how bright and fresh everything was (including the food).
