Laugh ’til It Hurts

November 30, 2012

What I’d give to be back with these people in this place. A week ago we were on the strip sipping frozen hot chocolate, playing the newly-wed game, sleeping through Cirque’s Ka (oh wait, that was only the guys), and laughing until our guts hurt.

Just looking at the pictures, I can still hear all of us laughing. Brothers, does “covered-wagon” ring a bell?

(An inside joke I’m about to fill you in on. It’s a peeve of us girls. Ironically, all of our boys think it’s funny too… a’hem… rip one under the covers in bed. A lethal bomb of stench awaits us when we hop in! Ew! Sick. And, apparently hilarious!)

Same time next year?!

Miss you guys!

And a very Happy Birthday to Todd today!

LOL I hate to admit this, but my husband has a different name for the “Covered Wagon”… he calls it the “Dutch Oven”. Thankfully this isn’t something he makes a habit, and he really only jokes about it with his buddies, but the name alone even makes me laugh!!! Adorable pictures and I am in love with your leggings!!! xo

Love the outfit you’re rocking, the studs and leather are great! A covered wagon does not sound like a fun surprise.

  • Dee November 30, 2012 at 5:41 pm

how do you sleep through ka? my husband and i loved that show.

    • missy November 30, 2012 at 6:45 pm

I guess I should clarify… Husby dozed off in one part. His older brother slept through a big chunk of it. That’s what a family of little munchkins will do to you! ha! Ka was fabulous! I love how each Cirque show is entirely different. My favorite is still classic, Mystere.

  • Office to Aprons November 30, 2012 at 6:44 pm

These are actually called Studly, by Steve Madden. There’s spikes all over them. My DIY ones are from Target, though.

I honestly can’t believe you’ve born children from that body. You’re such a babe! 🙂

And I decided today that I want a pair of leather leggings, and you’ve definitely sealed that sweet idea in my mind with yours! Perfect outfit.

  • Vanessa November 30, 2012 at 11:44 pm

My husband and I totally dozed during Ka!! I appreciate the art, its just very slow moving…Mystere is my all time fav too 🙂 (Oh and we call them Dutch ovens lol)

  • suzanne December 1, 2012 at 12:18 am

Whyyyy do guys think the Dutch Oven is so hilarious?? I’m sorry I’m not one of your buddies who think anything related to bodily functions is funny.

Ahhh, I see. Sleepy dads. I loved Ka and Mystere but my fave so far is La Nouba in Downtown Disney. Have you seen that one? Husband and I saw Wintuk in NYC and didn’t care for it much.

    • missy December 1, 2012 at 3:51 pm

Yes, we’ve seen La Nouba in Orlando. It was a great show too! Mystere and O are probably tied as favorites.

Love your outfit! I have been on the hunt for a great pair of leather leggings and am having a hard time finding some that aren’t either too expensive or look too cheap. Would love to know where you found yours, or if you have any suggestions on other places to look. Love your blog!
