Holiday Granola + DIY Winter Village Jars

Holiday Granola (blog) (18 of 21)

Don’t forget the hostess. The postman. Your neighbor. The bossman. The dog groomer? Well… yeah. The gift list seems never-ending. That’s why it’s important to think big — as in, “What can be made in bulk that everyone will enjoy and that won’t require extensive shop hopping…” To me, homemade holiday granola (especially one that tastes like Christmas) is always a winner. Tart cranberries, warm spices, buttery pecans, with a dash of fresh orange is something everyone will enjoy, is inexpensive to make, and can be made in mass quantities in just under an hour. Turning the jars into miniature winter villages is as easy a few trinkets and some hot glue. A white paint pen was used to paint the lid snowy white, topped with faux snowballs, brush bottle trees, baby reindeer with merry jingle bells (all found here), some festive parchment paper under the lid, and finished with a darling gold-leafed gift tag! Tell me that doesn’t spell, a jar full of J-O-L-L-Y!

I love these little jar gifts too! Thanks much, your boys look like they’re becoming quite the cooks. Merry Christmas! (I have those little bottle brush trees too that I like to play around with for décor)
