Give the Gift of Trees

November 29, 2016

thymes-fraiser-fir-blog-6-of-8thymes-fraiser-fir-blog-4-of-10We’ve been celebrating Christmas with a fresh tree ever since our very first Christmas together as a family of three. I can still see little buddy watching as Ryan and I tried to squeeze a much too large of a tree into the corner of our much too tiny dollhouse! Can you say, ‘Christmas Vacation’ anyone?! ha! Who knew that would be the year that kickstarted the fresh tree tradition? Yes, we all anxiously bundle up, pile into the car, and listen to carols on the way to the tree lot. Magical glowing string lights overhead, savoring the smell and inspecting each and every potential prospect. Playing peekaboo through pine boughs and pretending the winding rows of trees are their own little maze for exploring — is an outing I look forward to the entire year! Once home, to further enhance the fresh fir scent, we use Thymes Frasier Fir to make our house really smell like a fresh forest. No joke, nothing else compares! It’s so special to see guests walk through our door, take one inhale, and instantly comment on how fragrant our tree is! I fill them in on the secret. wink wink. If you’re familiar with Thymes then you know, once you burn Frasier Fir, every Christmas thereafter wouldn’t be complete without it. In fact, it’s one of our favorite gifts to give friends and neighbors! So you can imagine how excited I was to learn that this year, Thymes is tipping their hat to the very thing that inspired the scent of the season – trees! For every product sold in the Northwoods & Limited Edition collections a coordinating tree will be planted. To further connect, each product has coordinates to the precise location where YOUR tree is planted! I know, right? My heart literally giggled — when you buy one, you plant one! Spread the love this holiday season and give the gift of trees! Hop below for a special family video of our annual tradition of picking the perfect Christmas tree!

You guys are the cutest! My parents always had a real tree when I was growing up and my hubs liked that tradition so we too have had one every year since we got married and share that with our two boys! Except in in Syd, Australia we are buying our trees wearing shorts and t-shirts… Lol
