Forget Me Not Hearts (Day 5)

February 7, 2013

Living away from both sets of Grandparents literally makes our heart hurt. So we decided to package them up in a tiny bag, with an even tinier note, filled with the tiniest heart kisses and mail them to Nana + Mimi (the grandmas). A sure way to let them know that no matter the distance, they’re close in our hearts. Always.

This post is part of our 14 Days of Love tradition.

Muslin bags – leftover from HERE, Embroidery Floss – Walmart, Heartbeat Pattern Punch – Martha Stewart (Michael’s), Soapstone Hearts – World Market

What are some good Valentines ideas for men? Last year I got my husband some cologne but I sometimes feel that is boring:) Thanks!

My husband and I no longer give gifts on any holiday – even birthdays because it just seemed to add to much stress (and money!) trying to find the perfect item. In addition, we definitely don’t need anymore “stuff”. What has always worked for us is to do something together – have a picnic at a park, go putt-putt golfing, see what your city (or surrounding cities) have to offer that is inexpensive & exploratory – create a memory! In addition, I have always found that making him his favorite meal and/or dessert is always a sure bet!

“it just seemed to add too much stress” not to. Yes, I am a grammatical nut ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Missy, What do you do with your photos other than share them with us on the blog (scrapbook, photo albums, ect)? Thanks kisses xoxo

    • missy February 8, 2013 at 1:05 am

We have a few in frames – ashamed there aren’t more on display, actually. The blog is basically our scrapbook. I’ve heard blurb takes blogs and makes them into a book but I have to more or less format the whole thing. Hoping someone will come up with an easier option one of these days!
