Food Knock Offs Main Course Salads

Double Dinner (part 3)

January 23, 2013

So onto our salad, shall we?

It’s one of my favorite splurges when shopping at Nordstrom.

No, I don’t pack a picnic to eat in the dressing room, if that’s what you’re thinking. If I were THAT crazy, I’d probably bring along my sleeping bag too and call it a sleepover! ha!

No, but seriously. I’ve studied it time and time again, like a fine painting (because let’s be honest – food is art) and I’ve nailed it pretty gosh-darn close. Maybe it did take a few winks to get the waiter to give me some hints in the right direction on the dressing…

By the way, it never hurts to ask, in an ever-so-unexpecting way, “Is there a hint of dijon mustard I taste in this dressing?” You’re bound to open pandora’s box…

Kiss this sweet little fishy, adieu… because we ate up everything and then some. (see part 1 and part 2 and this old post “Meal Planning 101” if you want more details on all this).

hi there! how do your boys do with “grown up” food? i imagine beck is still on baby food…is gage pretty much eating what you eat? ps: looks delish, trying out the salad later this week! (:

Yes, they both eat what we eat (for the most part). I never fix Gage anything different and I think it’s made him a good eater (he’s not picky at all). Now Beck seems to think if his food isn’t our food then it’s tantrum-worthy! Makes my life easier, I guess. I just give him small bits or mash it up. Excited for you to try it!
