Call it magic, but somehow the babies and I managed to squeeze inside Ry’s suitcase to tag along with him on a business trip to LA. As part of our trip, we stayed two nights at the Disneyland Hotel. Let me tell you, it feels like stepping back in time — the vintage character and nostalgia just as Walt originally created. Upon arrival, all of the characters, yes ALL of the classics were there in the lobby to welcome guests… Mikey, Minnie, Pluto and his chipmunk friends Chip & Dale, Goofie, Donald, and Daisy! One of my good friends is to thank for our stay. She swears it’s not the complete “Disneyland experience” without staying on site — the extra magic hours (early access into the parks), a short walk from your room to the park, the twinkly headboards that play disney songs to lull your babies to sleep, a firework view from the windows, and not to mention the awesome pool (Minnie and Mickey hot tubs, included). The foodie in me was heart-eyed to find Mickey ice-cream bars in the gift shop (yes, the same ones only sold in the parks – sneaky sneaky, Mr. Disney)! I wonder what the rate is per night for those seeking to move in? Like, permanently.
