Days of Love 7 & 8

February 10, 2012

Monopoly was right alongside Trivial Pursuit as my least favorite games: the type that always made me feel stupie. I guess it’s because I’ve never been good at keeping track of money (the real or fake kind). But chocolate-opoly I can handle. It still involves money BUT (and let’s call it a HUGE BUTT at that) it involves chocolate! Yep… too much causes big badonks and overflowing muffin tops, friendlies. We laughed our way through the whole game while stuffing our faces full of the real stuff, chocolate that is.

I found the game HERE. Definitely recommend buying it. Super creative and thoroughly entertaining.

Wednesdays seem to be my notorious “melt-down” days. Not EVERY Wednesday, mind you. But when I seem to turn into fire breathing dragon lady, more than likely it’ll be on a Wednesday. For A-Z reasons, I unraveled yesterday. Like a major Kapow! Snap! POP! Unlocking the bathroom door, this scene awaited me! A bubble bath that smelled just like candy hearts (it’s the latest scent, Sweet Talk by Philosophy).

I might note, the heart garland he needed some assistance with. The intent was there, but he’s still a dude you guys. And little LuLu definitely gave her approval. With tail wagging, it was obvious she thought it was HER bath time! ha!

another great round! I love the row of candles on the rim of the tub…so pretty!

    • missy February 13, 2012 at 1:42 pm

The little details, right? How about the dollar store rose petals? Reminds me of a little boy…

  • Marina February 10, 2012 at 3:29 pm

Ok, I seriously just sent the link to your blog to my hubby and told him to take note. LOL. We shall see how that turns out.

I LOVE all the ideas! And you are seriously making me spend some money this week. Between buying those shoes from Target, in BOTH colors, and now the Philosophy body wash and lotion and cherry on top for the game, I may have to curb it soon:) LOVE LOVE LOVE all the ideas. Definitely will do the hearts note and centerpiece this weekend.

By the way, where are the garlands from? You should just post the links to everything you feature in the pics and ask for some royalty payment from vendors….LOL.

    By the way, Voted!

The garland on the fireplace was purchased during our recent trip to Italy (positano) and the garland over the tub was a gift from Lullaby Mobiles (https://www.facebook.com/LullabyMobiles).

Tell your Mister to not hate me, K? Hate when I get hate mail from the Misters. jk.

Um yeah. It’s REALLY fun! And like I said, I’m not a fan of either traditional version.

Hope you’re having a better day today. I had those days regularly when I was prego (and honestly I still do)… making and mothering little people is not an easy job- throw in any extra stress factors and it all goes from good to crazy in a second.
I made your cookies for my daughter’s homeschool co-op class today and they were such a hit! I ended up calling Williams Sonoma in Denver and they mailed the decorating pens right out for me. Thanks for all of the beautiful and fun ideas! I just *love* your blog! 🙂

    • missy February 13, 2012 at 1:47 pm

Haha! Reminds me of what I say when I snap at Husby, “You try manufacturing a human!” He always laughs and lends a hand. It’s true… sometimes it’s just a lot to carry.

And YAY to getting the pens and making the cookies! Sooo glad they were a success and brought smiles to everyone! xo
