Christmas Day in The Morning

December 27, 2011

Having Christmas on a Sunday was kind of a catch 22. To open presents or wait, that was the question. You see, we go to church every Sunday… and that also goes for Christmas. After much deliberation we decided to save opening gifts until after church. We figured, make Christmas last ALL day. And while Bubba is still little we could get away with it. Next year, I have a feeling presents might be numero uno on our agenda.

We spent the first part of the morning at my sister’s house for a beautiful breakfast feast. Ridiculously good. So good in fact, that the place sign that says, “Gage” was really a cover-up for Moi. Embarrassing. But none the less, delicious. Case and point? Santa’s sticky buns. Those buncakes of his did not disappoint. Thank you, Mr. Claus.
The brother with his little fairy wife. Cheers!
Evidence that I pawn off my ginormo plate of food on my offspring. My belly is bigger than my eyes. Or is it the other way around…

LuLu conked from all the action and it’s not even noon yet.

Let the unwrapping of presents begin!

All in all it was a very special day filled with very special people and all the special feelings associated with Christmas. Looking back it all unfolded just right.
