Christmas 2013

December 28, 2013

We hope you had a very special Christmas celebrating with the ones you love most! Ours was just as I had hoped — filled with favorite family traditions.

Reliving childhood memories with your own children brings a level of joy that cannot be measured. Reading my favorite Christmas book, Jolly Old Santa Claus (with pages barely holding to the binding). Or the cinnamon roll wreath made from Grandma’s original hand-scripted recipe card. Peppermint sundaes. Or acting out the nativity with Dad’s narrative — now with my own little Joseph and adorable shepherd. It’s memories like these that help me remember that regardless of what happens throughout the year, the most important things remain the same.

Just beautiful!! Merry Christmas to you and your family and how precious are those boys in their Christmas jammies. I love getting to see some of your house decorated for Christmas!;) I am always thinking….”show more of the house”…haha.=) Looks beautiful and peaceful. All the best in the New Year, and thank you for the continued beautiful inspiration. Love the boys dressed for the nativity! So special. xo

Lori, thank you for your kind thoughts. These pictures are of my Mom’s home… I only wish it was my house. She really knows her stuff when it comes to interior design! A very Happy New Year to you, as well! xo

    • missy January 7, 2014 at 6:12 am

      They’re all from Hannah Anderson!

Where is your cute plaid shirt an furry vest from? Love!

    • missy January 7, 2014 at 6:13 am

Shirt is from Abercrombie and Fitch and vest is from somewhere online (can’t remember – I’d have to do some digging) but plan to post the exact link, when I find it!

So adorable! Love celebrating christmas traditions that I did when I was a little girl in my adult years. I hope one day to celebrate them with my own little munchkins. Looks like you had a wonderful day!

Merry Christmas! I love reading your blogs. Could you share where you found the your advent tree?

    • missy January 7, 2014 at 6:16 am

I’m not exactly sure where my Mom got it… I think it might be from World Market.

Adorable! Where did your hubs get his sweater??

    • missy January 7, 2014 at 6:14 am

      It’s from Zara Winter 2012

  • Cindy December 31, 2013 at 1:56 am

Can you PLEASE tell me where the clock over the mantle is from??? My mantle NEEDS one. 🙂 Thanks!

    • missy January 7, 2014 at 6:15 am

You’re not going to believe this, my Mom made it — not the clock, of course but the background. It’s reclaimed wood pieces she painted, put together and then attached the clock to it! Crazy, right?

The nativity made me melt. SO precious and I love the make shift sweater head piece. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your entire loving family! ox
