Chocolate Covered Peep Pops

These just got filed under, “New Family Traditions”. I love when a simple idea turns into an enjoyable reality. That, in my opinion is what earns an activity becoming an annual tradition. I’ve confessed before: Peeps have never been my jam. But take two Easter classics: chocolate bunnies and marshmallow peeps and you can turn even the worst skeptic into a Peeps-Person. I, for one, am living proof! Ha! The dusted sugar-coating of the marshmallow coupled with a layer of delicious dark chocolate is ridiculously tasty. What’s even better? Little ones can complete the entire assembly with very little help (and if you know kids, then you know how they crave to do things on their own). Cut mini mallows in half, dip them in white chocolate (using a toothpick) and roll them in sprinkles for a whimsical take on a traditional fluffy cotton tail! Use brightly colored paper straws to skewer the marshmallows (almost all the way through, stopping just before popping out between the ears). I’m hearing some of you say, “It’s almost Easter and we haven’t even dyed eggs or made sugar cookies!” That’s ok. Hop in the car (pun intended) and head to Target. For a $2 you can grab a dozen peeps and a dozen straws and you’re already halfway there to making a forever memory! Happy Easter week, friends!

Made these with our girls for Easter and they were a HUGE hit!! Everyone had more than one and were asking for more. (Confession…I am not a huge Peeps fan on their own, but these were so good I probably had more than anyone. Lol!!) Thank you for another fun and kid-friendly holiday activity!
