Pantry Overhaul

Have you ever reached a disorganized breaking point?

Normally mine seem to coincide with pregnancy or the onset of a bad mood. Don’t ask me why I purge and clean when I’m grouchy. Therapeutic, I suppose.

The point being, I just couldn’t handle the dysfunctional mess of a closet we called our pantry.

I wanted only the necessities… the stuff we actually used and nothing more! Not to mention, I wanted it pretty with everything in a designated place.

The end result provides an easy assessment of what needs restocking while keeping our impulse buys in check!

Confession: the pantry overhaul happened this past fall; however the pictures were taken last week. Moral of the confession? The pantry has looked this clean for almost 6 months! It’s proof that when everything has a place; there’s no room for laziness.

Mason jars with twistable lids makes for easy storage of little treats. Take instructions from bulk items (such as rice or mixes) and place on the bottom side of lids. Chalkboard labels clearly identify similar containers and/or similar looking contents.
