Flatbread Pizza with Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Sauce


 

    • Until recently, the words ‘homemade pizza dough’ induced the clenched teeth emoji… Too much headache for it’s own good, man. That is, until I realized flatbread dough (the extra crispy kind, my fave) can be made well ahead of time. Count this as the summer when you finally have friends over for a make-your-own-pizza-party, minus the migraine. Can I get a fist pump? 

 

    • The sauce. It needs it’s own little explanation. Why the addition of roasted red peppers, you might ask? Nope, not a thing wrong with classic tomato… the red peppers just add another layer of flavor with a slightly sweet after note. Hats off to Mezzetta’s Roasted Red Peppers for inspiring the combo!
