April snow showers bring frozen May flowers? Or something like that. Ha! Good thing we’re bowling people because that’s what you do on a 30 degree Saturday to commence the almost said Summer season. It’s okay, really — because as long as we’re together, I’m happy. With Mother’s Day less than a week away, it’s on the forefront of all of our minds — gifts, reliving special memories of becoming a mother, and all the daily moments with our children that make life so rewarding. That being said, awhile back I purchased some special Alex and Ani bracelets for myself. I like to think of them as little motherhood treasures to represent each of my children. So no matter if we’re together or apart, rain or shine, or on any given day of the week — they’re with me for all of it. And on this day, they consoled me when I took dead last. That’s right, here it it comes… The embarrassing truth: little boys with bumpers and ramps managed to outscore my sorry excuse for 60. Yes, that’s my score, friends. In black and white, for all to laugh at! Darn those skiwampus gutter balls!! ha! At least we have a family rule to lessen the blow: loser gets to choose the lunch spot. I came up with the rule. And I almost always lose. In my book, that’s basically winning. Insert all the praise hands! Wink wink.
