Baby Steps for Victory

October 5, 2011

As of Friday, Morgan is slowly coming out of the medically induced coma. He is now responding well to touch and has shown small signs of improvement.

He went from taking 3 blood pressure meds down to taking only half of a dose. Yesterday he was awake for 30 minutes inabling him to spend some time with his family. However, doctors put him under more sedation because he was gagging on the ventilator. Jenedy said the plan is to take the ventilator out tomorrow, “I’m so proud of him, it must be a scary thing to leave heaven and wake up with a tube down your throat!” Today, he recognized his Daddy & followed him with his eyes. All tiny baby steps; but steps none the less.

He’s still very much sleepy & has a long way to go but our prayers are being answered! Pray that his brain will be completely healed as that is the next major hurdle. As well as further healing of his lungs and bowels.

As you can imagine, their medical expenses are racking up & will continue to do so for the long road ahead. Jenedy is a very talented artist and her finished pieces are for sale found HERE. The funds from the paintings will directly go to paying Morgan’s medical bills.

Another way you can help is by initiating a fund raiser or a benefit to raise money. If we get creative, use our talents, and join efforts, every little bit will add up. If you raise money, I can give you their address where you can send the profits from your event. In the meantime, if you’d like to donate directly to the family or know others who would, you can send any amount to Jenedy’s Paypal Account using the “send money” option and then inputing this email address: jenedypaige@gmail.com. When you send a donation there is an option to attach a personal greeting or note.

Each of your hands have been instrumental in his success thus far. I know they are so very grateful for the outreach you’re exerting to make sure others join in. I personally have prayed for each of you to be blessed for all of your help. My heart is truly touched.

Thank you all so VERY much for your support, love, and prayers in their behalf!

We’re all rooting for you, Victory!!!

I’ll continue to do my best to keep you updated. xo

I am so glad to see he is making small steps toward recovery. I was so touched by what you wrote on your first post and then I went down to Southern AZ to visit some family and it turns our my cousin Deanna is in their ward. She told my other cousin they truly are special people- continued prayers on their behalf!

Thank you for the update. I check everyday. I am so glad that he is taking baby steps. I passed on this information to all of my family and friends. We continue to pray for the family each day.

So thankful to read that Morgan is making progress. We continue to pray for this little boy – our 6 year old especially has been touched by this and he will remind us before prayer time to pray for “that little boy from the pool”. Our family knows all too well the healing mercies of our God. My brother was diagnosed with a very aggressive Non-Hodkins Lymphoma last January, and the Dr’s felt it was not curable. Well, this past June we recieved the amazing news that his cancer is in remission…..and his Dr’s were stunned. We know where the healing came from, and we pray for the same healing for Morgan.

My sister in law told me about Victory and my children and husband and I pray morning and night for him. We have experienced the miracle of healing through the same situation. The Lord is magical He is so powerful. Victory is possible for Victory we know it with all of our hearts.. thank you for allowing us to experience his miracle also.. It is special to see miracles happen with our children for another person. They ask morning and afternoon on Victory’s progress… Stay strong! (:
