Apple Pickin’

October 1, 2012

It’s been five years in the making.

Maybe it was the 2 hour drive that deterred us?

Don’t ask me why we thought 2 hours in the car with kids would be any better…

But it most certainly was.

Something about Bubba’s over-the-top enthusiasm made it a day we’ll always remember.

Little legs racing from tree to tree (beanie bouncing), lots of shouting “Ooo! More way over there, Mama!”, Husby climbing trees (just so I could have a few Granny Smith’s in the mix, a happy baby in a bucket, and fallen smushy-gushy apples that caused slips and slides with repeated face-plants.

All part of the experience.

Not to mention the fruits of our labors.

The ginormous bag is making for some tasty apple concoctions (coming to a post near you).

Hi there…I just started following your blog and love it…I just started being a stay at home mom and find your blog refreshing. I struggled at first with the idea of putting myself in the mix of taking care of everyone, but your tips have been very helpful. Did I miss the information about your outfits. I love the hat on your little one and your hoodie is perfect for fall.

    • missy October 2, 2012 at 6:06 pm

Story of our stay-at-home-mom life. Or women’s lives in general, really. It’s hard to balance it all all while making sure we take care of ourselves. Something I continually struggle with. Outfit deets are now posted πŸ™‚
