A Thankful Heart

November 6, 2011

Wow! Really?!
This probably doesn’t hit your ticker like it does mine;
But if you’re a mother you know exactly what I’m talking about.
There’s nothing to be more thankful for in the world than
A child.
My amigo, little pal, and 2 foot mister
Makes my world happy
All over and in ways
I never could’ve
Imagined.

Life with him in it just gets better and better…

omg how cute is he! Beautiful pictures!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:35 am

I’m glad someone else thinks he’s kinda cute too! 🙂

  • Kellee November 6, 2011 at 10:09 pm

These need to be framed ASAP!!! He is just B.E.A.utiful!!!!!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:35 am

For once in my life I’m actually framing something… these! Definitely some of my favorite pictures to date. Brandy is a gift.

  • Natalie November 7, 2011 at 2:40 am

Awww that is some serious cuteness! I’m not a mother but I can’t even imagine that kind of love, because I die hard love my puppy so I just can’t imagine! 🙂

You’re so cute, Natalie. I felt the same about LuLu until Gage arrived. Now they’re both my babies but lil’ mister definitely has the upper hand. 😉

  • Anna @ The Guiltless Life November 7, 2011 at 5:13 am

Aw such pretty pics of your lil guy – and he wears his jeans so well! Those are major style points!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:37 am

Haha! You made me smile, cute girl. I can only hope he’ll let me dress him for life!

  • Maggie November 7, 2011 at 5:29 am

He’s my favorite! I still can’t believe he’s big enough to walk, never mind being big enough to rake!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:38 am

I know, right? There were more shots in the series (all of which are just as cute… one with a serious concentration face like it was major business he was undertaking). The lil’ guy cracks me up! The rake was like 4x his size! ha!

  • Courtney November 7, 2011 at 5:30 am

Beautiful pictures! Such a well dressed guy!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:38 am

Oh thank you so much, Courtney!

  • Rachel {polkadots and puppies} November 7, 2011 at 1:23 pm

TRUER words were never spoken! Children are truly the most precious blessings. Reminds me of this beautiful Mother Teresa quote: “How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.”

    -Love and sparkles

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:39 am

Oh my gosh! I LOVE that quote! Thank you so much for sharing it, friend. xo

  • jenedy November 7, 2011 at 3:28 pm

How A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E ! Seriously? Does it get cuter than this? And how lucky are you to have such beautiful fall colors? Love it all.

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:40 am

The fall here is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And each year it’s like seeing it again for the first time. The trees look like they’re on fire! Summers? BLEK! But Spring and Fall definitely make up for it. xo

True Religion jeans?!?! Can you adopt me? Please?

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:41 am

Sign here. You’re officially part of the fam. Lets eat cuppies! 😉

  • Molly Harper November 7, 2011 at 9:01 pm

The first pic almost looks like a heart over his head…which makes the title even more appropriate. So cool!! 🙂

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:41 am

      Awww cute find, Molly.

  • Kellee November 7, 2011 at 9:23 pm

P.S. Where did you find toddler true religion jeans?

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:42 am

Nordstrom semi-annual sale! Dangerously cute stuff…

  • Kerri November 7, 2011 at 9:45 pm

My word… those cheeks… seriously! He’s just the cutest. Looks like you’re enjoying the leaves and fall and family… basically all the important things of life. 🙂 happy monday missy!

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:42 am

Your comment made my night! Thank you Kerri. You always seem to know how to make me smile. xo

  • Rebecca Grace November 8, 2011 at 12:40 am

He looks SO MUCH like his daddy. Enjoy these fleeting days when you can dress him up in cool hats — the Opinions will come on fast and hard before you know it.

Anders says, “That’s baby Gage?! Whoah! He’s cute! And cool!”

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 1:44 am

Oh how I miss Anders. Give him a big hug for me and tell him he’s just as cute… and of course, cool! Trying to relish in these days where he can still be my baby doll.

  • Silvina November 8, 2011 at 3:05 am

    Oh that face! 🙂

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 9:44 pm

Ha! I know, right? The side profile where his little nose flips up and his eyebrows are raised? Makes me weak in the knees. Thanks for your comment, Silvina.

  • Kym November 8, 2011 at 2:38 pm

Awww! These photos and your heartfelt words just made my heart smile this AM 🙂 You are blessed! xo

    • missy November 8, 2011 at 9:44 pm

I’m so glad to hear that! I couldn’t help but share this little moment with everyone. xo

  • Rachel {polkadots and puppies} November 8, 2011 at 6:41 pm

Oh, and I NEED Mr. Sweetface’s RL pullover for my little men. Deets on where to buy please? 😉

  • Rachel {polkadots and puppies} November 9, 2011 at 7:05 pm

Oh, my. Cute little man gear overload over there! Thanks, Missy! 🙂

  • Amy Morris November 10, 2011 at 9:35 am

SO cute! I can’t wait for you to add to the fam. Kids are hard, but nothing gives you more joy or satisfaction. I am just sad as mine keep getting older. I wish I could freeze them right now and stay here for a year or two.
