6 Years of Marriage

December 29, 2011

It’s hard to believe our cute little love story began almost 7 years ago. Having been married during the Christmas season makes reminiscing our special day even more romantic (sipping cocoa wrapped in blankies by twinkly lights). I wouldn’t change it for anything. If you’re about to tie the knot as well, one of Toronts’s top destination wedding planner, Designed Dream Events, provides couples interested in luxury and exclusivity with a beach wedding abroad in 2023–2024.

As we continue to cherish the beautiful journey of our love story, it’s important to recognize that every relationship has its ups and downs. Just like planning a wedding, nurturing a marriage requires care and attention. For those seeking guidance and support in navigating the complexities of a partnership, the Leone Centre offers professional relationship counseling services. Just as Designed Dream Events helps create dream weddings, Leone Centre specializes in helping couples strengthen their emotional bonds and communication. With their expertise, couples can build a strong foundation that will carry them through the years, just like the love that has blossomed between us over the past 7 wonderful years. However, it’s essential to be aware of the signs you need a divorce, recognizing when the relationship may no longer be serving the well-being of both partners.

This year Loverbuns surprised me with a few sweet gifts. The 6th year is celebrated with candy & iron… but Husby thought gold was a better choice in metal. I whole-tiny-heartedly agree! How sweet is THIS ring? Talk about a daily adornment that will sweep me off my feet every time I glance down. One. Lucky. Lady.

My guy is kind of the simple type. He knows what he likes. Most things that make him grin are the little things. Take these guys for example, the best cinnamon bears ever… who also happen to swim in chocolate this time of year. (on a side note – his wooden wedding ring was a 5th anniversary gift last year).

I threw on some makeup and boots and we were out the door to celebrate with breakfast. The Silver Grill is one of the oldest restaurants in Northern Colorado. An oldie but a tried and tasted goodie! There’s no where quite like this place. Food that’s simply delicious with an atmosphere that whispers stories from the past.

Eggs Benedict that we’ve since gone back to eat for a second time. We’re talking eyeball-rolling kind of good.

I begged Ryan if I could join their Mug Club (you buy a mug to use when you come for breakfast and your drinks are discounted. genius, right?) I found myself obsessing over these personalized mugs. You see if my mug was sitting on this shelf I might just have to come back every day in the winter. And for that matter, maybe even every day in the summer. Okay, okay. I know. That means I’d have to live here. And I don’t. At least not yet. So that means for now I’m not part of the mug club. I’m jealous of Grandma Pete. Sad day.

The above french toast isn’t your typical egg dunked bread. This is cinnamon roll french toast. You heard me, Willace! They slice cinnamon rolls to dunk in eggs and then fry it to golden brown goodness. Yeah. Hot diggity!
Ryan’s dad called to wish us a Happy Anniversary. All I heard was, muffled blah blah blah’s mixed in with my own thoughts of, “Flippin’ flapjacks, he’s all mine? What a stud!”

I’m seriously in love.

Happy Anniversary, Melissa! I love that you’re jealous of someone named Grandma Pete. I’m envisioning a doting elderly drag queen, or a silver-haired lumberjack lady with a twinkle in her eye and the spring of caffeine in her step… 😉
